Haas confirmed in a statement that it will be dropping the Uralkali livery for the third day of pre-season testing in Barcelona. Instead of their original livery, they will now be seen in a plain white car.

But Haas remained firm on its driver list for day three. They will have their two drivers Mick and Nikita driving for them during pre-season. Meanwhile, Uralkali belongs to Nikita Mazepin’s father, Dmitry Mazepin.

Dmitry Mazepin is said to be close to President Vladimir Putin. One of the president’s allies, Sergei Chemezov, has been president of the company for several years. Questions hang over Formula 1’s participation in the Russian Grand Prix. Russia had invaded Ukraine on Thursday.
